GL events UK and Butlin's: A partnership that hits the mark

The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) is the leading professional body in the sport and has been operating tournaments for over 30 years. They hold the UK Open and Darts Players Championship Final at Butlin's Minehead each November, with the televised tournament attracting over 160 players. 

GL events UK have worked with Butlin's for over five years, supplying temporary seating for the tournament and have recently signed a new contract to continue the partnership.   

The latest tournament took place from 22 – 24 November and our team were on site four days before, preparing the site for the event. 

We provided a three grandstands with almost 4,000 seats, including 19 accessible and 19 companion positions. We also installed tables and bench seating for over 1,500 spectators. 

As well as installing the temporary seating, teams from across our business worked together to supply a covered players tunnel and emergency lights and signage for Grandstand A. 

We’re proud of the work we do with Butlin's and the PDC and the new contract gives us the opportunity to build on our relationship with them and continue to provide a superior seating experience for the audience.
